One of London’s first five-star hotels is being transformed into a luxury development. Located opposite Buckingham Palace and St James’s Park, No. 1 Palace Street – formerly The Palace Hotel – comprises 72 apartments and a roster of luxury amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, 20m swimming pool, cinema, library and meeting room. Each apartment takes advantage of the building’s grand 19th-century architecture, with some apartments boasting five-metre high ceilings. The development is set to complete in 2020.
