Northacre’s Art Deco-inspired mixed-use development in Victoria/Westminster, The Broadway, has finally topped out, reaching its full 74.5 metre (244 foot) height last week.

The scheme, located on the 1.7 acre site of the former New Scotland Yard Metropolitan Police Headquarters, has been designed by Squire & Partners, with Multiplex delivering the works as main contractor. Resi sales launched back in 2017, led by JLL.

The Broadway is super-prime specialist developer Northacre’s first foray into the mixed-used world. It’s creating 258 luxury apartments across 355,000 sq ft in six individual towers, rising between 13 and 19 storeys. Alongside the residential element, there will be 117,000 sq ft of office space, and 13 retail units running to 27,000 sq ft.

Residential sales have “remained buoyant” so far this year, including through lockdown, says the team. £40m-worth of apartments have been sold in the last six months, including one three-bed unit on the 14th floor, which went to a British buyer in July for £7m (£3,200 psf).
